Template Level 8

Org Chart Template

Map out your team structure, from where you are now to where you are growing toward.

Section 1
Leadership Layer

This is you and any co-founders or partners. List the people who set the vision, make strategic decisions, and are ultimately accountable for the business. In a small studio, this might be just one person.

Section 2
Management Layer

These are the people who translate your vision into action. They manage people, projects, or accounts. In a very small team, you might not have anyone here yet, and that is fine. Note which roles you plan to fill first.

Section 3
Execution Layer

These are the people who produce the work. Designers, developers, writers, videographers, anyone whose hands are on the deliverables. List current team members and contractors.

Section 4
Support Layer

These roles keep the business running but are not producing client deliverables directly. Admin, bookkeeping, operations, IT, HR. These are often the last roles to be filled but they free up enormous amounts of time.

Section 5
Reporting Lines

Draw the lines. Who reports to whom? Keep it simple and clear. Every person should know exactly who they report to and who reports to them. If someone reports to two people, that is a problem you need to resolve.

Section 6
Your Org Chart

Use this space to sketch out your org chart. List each layer and the roles within it. Draw the reporting lines. Include both current roles (filled) and planned roles (empty). This is your map for growing your team intentionally, not reactively.
