Measure how likely your team is to recommend your company as a place to work. The eNPS is the simplest, most powerful indicator of team health.
This is the only required question. Send it to every team member anonymously. They score on a scale of 0 to 10.
"On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely are you to recommend [Your Company] as a place to work?"
0 = Not at all likely, 10 = Extremely likely
Copy this question into your survey tool of choice (Google Forms, Typeform, even a simple email). Make sure responses are anonymous.
These optional questions give you context behind the score. Include at least one open-ended question so people can share specifics.
Once you collect responses, group them into three categories and use the formula below.
Formula:
eNPS = (% Promoters) - (% Detractors)
Result ranges from -100 to +100. Passives are not included in the calculation but are counted in the total response count.
Use this guide to interpret your result.
| Score Range | Rating | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| -100 to 0 | Needs work | More detractors than promoters. Urgent attention needed. Have honest conversations with the team about what needs to change. |
| 0 to 20 | Fair | A positive score but plenty of room to improve. Focus on the top issues from your follow-up questions. |
| 20 to 50 | Good | Your team is generally happy. Look for patterns in the feedback to keep improving. |
| 50 to 100 | Excellent | Your team is highly engaged. Protect what is working and stay connected to their needs. |
The score is useless without action. Write down the top 3 things you will do based on the results. Share these actions with your team so they know their feedback was heard.
